The FLYING Squirrels Go Nuts for Reading!
Take me out to the ball game! Join us on May 28 as the Richmond Flying Squirrels Go Nuts for Reading at The Diamond! Congrats to the Bellevue students whose reading success earned them a free ticket to the May 28 Richmond Flying Squirrels baseball game against the Harrisburg Senators. Students can celebrate their accomplishments and walk in the pre-game parade with Nutzy and Nutasha. The gates open at 5pm, the parade starts at 5:15pm, and first pitch is at 6:35pm. All tickets are GA, and no seats are reserved. Bellevue will try to sit in section 205. Parents, caregivers, teachers, and staff – get your tickets here and join us for a fun night!

Garden Beautification Day
Join us Saturday morning as we dig in and clean up Bellevue’s outdoor spaces. From mulching the school grounds to repairing the raised garden beds, we can all pitch in and help Bellevue look beautiful for Spring. Gloves, tools, and refreshments will be provided. We’ll see you there rain or shine!

Richmond Kickers Fundraiser for Bellevue
Up the Roos! Mark your calendars because this is a fun night for the whole family! Watch your Richmond Kickers play Greenville Triumph SC on May 2nd at City Stadium. Bonus? $7 of every ticket sold via this link will directly benefit Bellevue! The match starts at 7PM and gates open 60 minutes before kickoff.

Field Day
April 18 is Field Day for Bellevue students! Students should wear their house shirt color, weather-appropriate active wear, and tennis shoes (no sandals, flip flops or crocs). Parents and caregivers are welcome to attend but must sign in and receive a badge at the Bellevue office prior to joining the fun.

Ready, Tech, Go!
Ready, Tech, Go! Join us in the library for Coffee at the Castle with guest speaker, Dwayne Bennett. We’ll be discussing youth and technology. This event is supported by AT&T and will include refreshments and giveaways. RSVP here.

The PTA is sponsoring the Lucky You Dance for Bellevue students. This special event gives our kids a chance to hit the dance floor and celebrate all their accomplishments this school year. Volunteers are needed – sign up here.

A portion of the sales from the Festival are generously donated to the Bellevue PTA, so we make sure to help the organizers by volunteering at the event. Let’s support our 4th and 5th graders as they perform their Black History Month Musical, The Spark: A Journey Through The Delta. The performance will begin at 6:00pm in the Bellevue Auditorium. All friends and families welcome!

100th Day of School!
We’re celebrating the 100th day of school for our dragons! Here are some ways you can participate:
• Wear a shirt decorated with 100 items
• Dress up like a 100 year old man or woman
• Wear a necklace with 100 beads
• Bring in 100 items (items must fit into a small plastic bag)
But, most importantly, show up for school and enjoy your accomplishments this school year! We’re proud of you!

Winter Concert
Come support our second and third graders as they share what they've been working on during music class with their annual concert performances. It's always a treat! Hot cocoa will be served by the PTA and we’ll need some volunteers! Sign up today!

Bellevue Harvest Festival
Celebrate the Fall season with our annual Harvest Fest! Wear your favorite costumes and explore the halls of Bellevue. Spooky or Sweet, you decide how you Trick or Treat! We'll have games, prizes and surprises! You don't want to miss it!
We do need volunteers too help set up, run and break down the event. There are lots of time slots and opportunities available – sign up and help out today.

Union Market Benefit Night
Our neighbors over at Union Market are hosting a benefit night. 10% of all restaurant sales from 3pm to close will be given to Bellevue! It’d be a great place to stop by before or after our Harvest Fest. Enjoy a fantastic meal and support our dragons!

RVA East End Festival
The RVA East End Festival, a celebration of music and the arts supporting Richmond Public Schools (RPS) is a free family event for the entire RVA community. The event will feature performances by local professionals including members of the Richmond Symphony, the Celebration Male Chorus, and the Dap Mallory Band, among many others. The artistic talents of some RPS students will also be on display, including Bellevue Elementary first and second graders, who will be performing How Does Your Garden Groove? at 10:45am. Enjoy music, food vendors
and more!

Back to School Night
Head back to school to meet your child’s teachers and get the scoop on how they spend their day. The event starts with a presentation by Bellevue's Principal Hines and Assistant Principal Penn, followed by a brief PTA update. Families will then be able to meet their child's teacher, visit their classroom, check out the Encore rooms, and receive information from local businesses and organizations.
Bonus: The PTA will be providing free pizza slices!

Hangout on the Hill
Church Hill unites! Meet and socialize with families from Bellevue, Chimborazo, and Henry L. Marsh Elementary Schools. Local organizations will be on hand to provide information and answer questions.
